The Inspiring Journey of
Glenn Parada

Bio

Glenn Parada's life is a testament to faith, perseverance, and the unyielding pursuit of the American Dream. Raised by a devoted minister, Rev. Ricardo Parada, Glenn's journey began in the midst of the Salvadorian Civil War. Born in April 1981 in San Salvador, El Salvador, he entered a world overshadowed by conflict, where communist guerrillas and government forces battled for control. Despite the chaos, his father’s unwavering faith and mission to spread the Gospel became the foundation that shaped Glenn’s future.

Overcoming Adversity in a
War-Torn Nation

Growing up in a country plagued by violence, Glenn witnessed firsthand the rise of MS-13 and other gangs that gripped El Salvador in the early 1990s. His childhood neighborhood was a place where survival was uncertain, and today, he is one of only two individuals from his community who are still alive. Yet, through faith and resilience, Glenn overcame these harrowing circumstances. Under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, El Salvador has since experienced a transformation, dismantling all of the gang violence that once plagued the nation and restoring hope to its people.

A New Life and the
American Dream

Seeking a better future, Glenn’s father brought his family to the United States during the Ronald Reagan immigration reform act of the 1980s. In America, Rev. Parada continued his ministry while working as a baker, establishing Rich's Bakery—a small home business specializing in Salvadorian sweet bread. Through long nights and early mornings, Glenn learned the values of sacrifice, entrepreneurship, and faith-driven service.

A Foundation Built on Hard Work and Discipline

From a young age, Glenn worked alongside his father, delivering bread throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. These experiences ingrained in him the importance of perseverance and dedication. He later enlisted in the United States Army Reserves while still in high school, ultimately serving on Active duty as an M1 Armor Crewman stationed in Germany. His time in the military, especially during 9/11 and the beginning of the Global War on Terror (GWOT), reinforced the discipline and leadership instilled in him by his father.
